You’ll find Vegas Hotel located in the area of London known as Victoria.
It’s a district of the capital that’s ideal for visiting many of London’s best attractions, those to be found in Westminster (including Buckingham Palace) as well as top musicals at world-class theatres and terrific restaurants.
Victoria is perhaps best known as being one of London’s busiest transport hubs – indeed, the area takes its name from the London Victoria mainline train (and Tube) station; one of the major stations in the city. Among its claims to fame, it’s where the Belmond British Pullman departs for UK-wide tours as well as where the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express departs for its legendarily luxurious London-Paris-Venice route.
The train station is named after Queen Victoria, of course, Great Britain’s monarch whom reigned for more than 60 years, having originally ascended to the throne at the tender age of 18 and the first to make Buckingham Palace her official London residence. She and her husband Prince Albert played a pivotal role in helping the British people of the 19th Century forge their unique identity as ‘Victorians’, in addition to overseeing major cultural events including the Great Exhibition of 1851.
As far as things to do and see in the Victoria area go, then there’s the Victoria Palace and the Apollo Victoria theatres, both of them major West End venues that tend to host blockbuster stage musicals. Alternatively, those seeking retail therapy should head to the Victoria Place or Cardinal Place shopping centres; both of which offer an excellent range of high-street shops and bars and restaurants.
And then, of course, there’s food – for dining out in the area, there’s fine Asian cuisine options, such as Mango Tree, Grand Imperial, the Cinnamon Club and the Michelin-starred Quilon restaurants.
Whatever you fancy getting up to, you’re bound to find somewhere that provides just what you after right on Vegas Hotels’ doorstep!
